Split a journey down multiple paths

I would like the ability for contacts do go down more than one path in Ortto journeys. I really loved how in Autopilot you could send folks down multiple paths simultaneously and keep everything on one canvas
Even two paths would be sufficient for most of my use cases. For example, Path 1 is for operational / internal actions. Path 2 is for external messages. All contacts go down both.

Peter Bartlett The most common use case I have is 1 path for external communications, 1 path for internal communications, and 1 path for operational tasks. In a linear journey, if an operational task fails (adding to Salesforce for example), then the contact would end their journey. With multiple paths, you can guarantee the contact will hit all the shapes necessary. Happy to jump on a call to discuss more and show you examples in AP Journeys.

Anne Fleshman: Thanks a lot for your response Anne! I can appreciate how multiple paths makes things visually easier from a categorisation perspective to have the separate paths for different functions.
However, regarding the journey ending, you have full control over what happens when an Action fails, and you can decide if you want the contact to continue in the journey or be ejected.
This setting is found when you click the
..
menu of the the shape and select "View", and look in the left sidebar (see pic below). It is available for all action shapes, including Salesforce actions. If you set all of these actions to "proceed" then there will be no risk of the journey stopping and an action not getting triggered because of a previous step failing.
That should help achieve what you need in 1 path, or are there any other factors you can share that aren't covered?

Peter Bartlett That's helpful! I did not know about that setting.

Thanks for those who have voted, I'm curious to find out more about the use cases where you need this (the one subscriber going down both paths) compared to just putting all the shapes you want the contact to go through in a single path, and they can go through them one after another.
I would appreciate anyone sharing more information about what they would like to achieve here and why multiple paths are needed instead of one path.
This will help us better evaluate this request and ensure that if we do implement it, it addresses your needs.
Thanks
