Greater control over email sending limits to exclude certain people or campaigns, and set time-windows for sending

Ortto team: Expanding this original ticket, to be an all-in-one ticket for greater flexibility around controlling email sending limits.
- Exclude certain contacts from the email rules so that, for example, internal users can always receive emails
- Exclude certain campaigns from the rules, without necessarily marking them as transactional (and hence still respecting normal permissions), so urgent follow ups can be sent out
- Set up specific times during the day, or days of the week, where sending is allowed.
---------------------
It would be great to have the ability to assign email limit rules for campaigns on a case-by-case basis.
As an example, we have free resources that our users access and they often download multiple at a time, which are then sent out in individual emails via Ortto.
However, we’re currently limited to setting up daily email limits that apply across all of our campaigns. While we appreciate that and don't want our users to be inadvertently bombarded, it would be fantastic to have the ability to dictate exceptions to that rule as different scenarios come up.
Ideal fix would be to add a drop-down menu tab in the ‘Email settings’ tab, and under 'Email Limit' enabling the ability to "apply limit to all but x/y/z campaigns."
Thanks for considering!

Sometimes you just want to send an email regardless of your email sending limit.
Would be nice if there was a checkbox in emails to "Ignore" this.
The goal: Send the email instantly instead of waiting for the next available time to do it.

Email limits for a set period are great however it would be good to have the option to make exceptions within a filter in order to send correct emails or an urgent additional follow up if required.

we set up all sundays and saturdays on email limitation that no email is to be sent on those days and it should be reoccurring

This comes up time and again for me for testing purposes, rather than 'transactional'. I prefer/recommend people send themselves proper 'test' emails sometimes, rather than sending a test of an email they're about to send, to get the proper experience.

This would be good. Or if the email limiter simply delayed excess emails to the following day instead of just not sending them.

Hi Zack Olivas, we currently have the "Transactional" setting for sending Campaign or Journey emails that need to go out right away, and are Transactional in nature. Is this what you are looking for?
Or are you looking to simply ignore the send limit, without also marking the email as transactional?

Yes! Completely agree. We run multiple journeys and the email limit is great for that but we also have a newsletter that we run through Ortto and ideally they would actually get it on the day it is sent.
