Custom objects

The ability to create a custom object, with a custom name, similar to (People), and have this object associated to a person or any other record.
For example, this object could be deals. And the ability to create a deal and associate this as a one to many would be nice.
This could then appear as an additional menu item on the left hand side with it's own respective fields. Here's an example of how Hubspot are doing this: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/use-custom-objects

We appreciate custom objects is an important request for many customers, and is definitely something high on our list to solve. As previously mentioned, it's not a simple problem to solve, we want to do it well, and without breaking any of the existing great features we have.
Stay tuned for more updates, we know this will be a game-changing update for our customers once ready.
Keep an eye out for the second half of this year.

Would love that. especially for campaign members from salesforce. I am really not happy with the way campaign member data is saved on the person object and thus overwritten all the time, a custom object might solve this :)

I would add to this, the ability to select how any object (default, CRM or custom) is associated. Currently defaults to Person if a contact ID is present and is not changeable.
Ideally would be able to override how objects relate to each other.

Hi all, we are working on this, it's a big feature and we want to make sure we solve it in the "Ortto style", being clear to understand, powerful and flexible where needed, but with an ease-of-use and helpful recommendations/default states that make the process of setting up and managing objects a breeze.
Look for this to be available in 2024

This would be an amazing feature to allow us to create data unique data structures based on each business requirement.
We were evaluating Ortto Versus Customer .io a competitive platform. They have custom objects. We are still leaning on Ortto because your team has developed a much cleaner and easier user experience.

Mashrur Nabi: I agree. For a platform to claim that it is a CDP, it needs to be composable. Which Ortto is not. The inability to create custom objects and relationships is a huge gap.
